They are known for hosting unforgettable local and international trips, two of which are coming up this weekend. The university likes to make sure that students and their fathers have plenty to do on Dad’s weekend, which is where Outdoor Pursuits comes into play. This weekend they will be hosting two local trips, one is a zipline adventure, and the other is a hike at Hocking Hills.

Zipline Adventure

How often do you get to zipline at one of the most haunted places in the nation?  OU’s Outdoor Pursuits is offering ziplining at The Ridges on Saturday, Nov.9 and Sunday, Nov. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. The registration fee is $22, which includes all of the equipment and instruction you will need.

Old Man’s Cave Day Hike

If ziplining isn’t your thing, a scenic day in the woods might cater more to your style. Join Outdoor Pursuits for a hike through the Old Man’s Cave region of Hocking Hills State Park. The registration fee is $18, which includes transportation and guide staff for the hike. The trip will depart at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 and will return at 3 p.m.

If you are unsure of where to take your dad this weekend, or want to occupy your time with something new, make sure to check out some of the programs that Outdoor Pursuits offers.
The deadline to register for both of these events is tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. Don’t miss out, CLICK HERE to register or find out more information.
